Statistically, 1 in 10 children in America will be sexually abused before they turn 18. The unfortunate reality is, every 98 seconds someone has been sexually assaulted and every 10 minutes that someone is a child. But, it doesn’t have to stay that way. It only takes one voice to ignite change. Journey to Heal Ministries, located in Wilmington, NC, is working to be that voice of change.
At Journey to Heal Ministries, they endeavor to help women heal from past sexual trauma by leading them to the hope and healing by providing trauma-informed mentoring, support groups, education, and life-giving community to help women go beyond surviving their wounds to thriving in the life they were created to live.
They created this t-shirt campaign through Bonfire to help the public become more aware of this epidemic and equip them to become a voice of change. They believe awareness leads to prevention and that together they can #END1in10.
