Wear Jeans for Rare Diseases

Wear Jeans for Rare Diseases

Since 2005, Coastal Kids Home Care has provided more than 64,000 visits to 8,700 medically fragile infants and children with rare illness and disability. They provide these services from Monterey, Santa Clara, San Benito, and Santa Clara Counties in California’s central coast.

As the only nonprofit pediatric home health care agency in the community, they provide vital medical care and support to families who need it. Some of their services include: Shift nursing for CHARGE Syndrome, blood draws for Hemophilia, Life-Saving infusions for Muscular Dystrophy & Music and Art Therapy for rare and terminal cancers.

In honor of Rare Disease Day (whose ribbon “color” is jean), they created a t-shirt design that highlighted their belief that everyone should #WEARJEANS4RAREGENES to show support for children who have rare disease – not just on rare disease day, but all year long.
