Shop Small: A Collaboration Between Artists and Business Owners

Shop Small: A Collaboration Between Artists and Business Owners

Caroline Staniski is a high-end graphic designer who was eager to use her talents when small businesses were hit hard by COVID-19. In March 2020, she had the idea to create a collaboration between artists with small businesses.

Caroline reached out to over 30 people on social media in hopes of finding the perfect bunch to collaborate with. Her campaign features 25 artists who each have a part-time or full-time small business. They were all prompted to create a “Shop Small” graphic, that Caroline later put together for the t-shirt design. The purpose of this campaign is to showcase the beauty of shopping small businesses, and local artists.

“At first glance, you would never know who is who because all of the pieces are beautiful just like all small shops are, too. Some of these artists have less than 500 followers and some have over 10,000. And you would never know who is who or which small businesses are really hurting unless you asked.”

So remember to shop small and support small change. The money raised from this campaign will be split between all of the collaborators to support them and their businesses. These artists thank you and hope that this campaign makes a difference for many.
