Early in the pregnancy, Keeley James and Kambry Lee (Mo/Di aka identical twins) who were diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. 18 weeks into the pregnancy, their mother successfully had surgery to correct the condition. They were however born 4 weeks later at 22 weeks and 1 day gestation. By the time they were able to leave the hospital, Kambry had been in there a total 138 days, and Keely 144 days.

Even though the odds were stacked against them, Keeley and Kambry have survived. The national average for chances of survival is 10%. The average at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital is 65%. The twins just came home and are both on oxygen but doing very very well!! The family created these shirts on Bonfire to share their story and help raise money for our family during this time.
