Hannah is an Arizona based artist, illustrator, and designer. She created apparel for her community as a reminder to be still in these challenging times.
Here is a word from Hannah, the artist behind Right Hand Design.
“During this time as an artist and creative, it was hard to sit down and think of what to come out with next.
I wrote three words in the notes of my phone and I always find myself coming back to them. It’s been my comfort through my every day since the pandemic happened and everything up until this point.
Later on, I wrote out this poem as I thought about how am I going to use these words. And it went like this…
“Be still now.
Be still now in the slow process.
Be still now in the brokenness.
Be still now in the new outlook on life.
Be still now in the chaos.
Be still now in the dryness.
Be still now in the loss.
Be still now in the unknown.
Be still now in the change.”
These are some of the examples within the phrases that I experienced during this time. Things aren’t going to be the same, but I will be still now in that.”
Hannah created this Be Still Now design based on her poem and turned it into apparel for her community.
