Laurel Gourrier and Danielle Jackson are co-creators and hosts of the Birth Stories in Color Podcast, a platform and community for families of color to share their birthing experiences. It is a space that specifically celebrates, mourns with, and supports people of color and their transformation through birth. They emphasize the role of storytelling as a way to equip future parents.
They created these t-shirts as a testament to their community. The first design was created by the community and for the community. They were prompted to describe the podcast in one word and were thrilled with the responses. The second design is a representation of the storytellers and their community, which is a true reflection of their past, present, and future. All proceeds from this campaign support the cost of recording, producing, and transcribing Birth Stories in Color Podcast.
